Jump Rope
Jump rope is a dynamic warm up and can also be used in a conditioning setting. It requires and develops rhythm as well as high-eye coordination.
Single Unders:
Keep the body loose and relaxed and the spine neutral
Arms should be symmetrical when viewed from the front
Adjust cadence and speed on to develop control of the spin
Adjust between two feet and single foot jumping to increase body awareness and control
Double Unders:
Body should be loose and relaxed and symmetrical like single unders
Jump only as high as necessary to spin the rope twice per jump
Speed can be increased or decreased to permit more or less recovery
